This Privacy Policy explains what information Scattered Guide ("we," "us") collects when you use our website, and how we use, share, and protect it. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name and email address when you create an account, and any listing details you submit as a business owner.
We also collect information generated by your use of the site: the listings you favorite, the shops you mark as visited, and basic usage data like pages viewed. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your billing information — we never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
We use your information to operate the directory: to maintain your account, show your saved favorites and visit history back to you, process subscription payments, communicate with you about your account or a listing you own, and improve the site.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-party services
We rely on the following third-party services, each of which processes a limited slice of your data to provide their function:
Stripe — processes subscription payments for business owners. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the payment information you provide to them directly.
Mapbox — powers the interactive maps used to display listing locations. Mapbox may receive general location and usage data needed to render maps.
GoHighLevel — our CRM, used to manage communications with business owners and shoppers who contact us. Contact form submissions and related account information may be stored in GoHighLevel.
Your rights
You can review and update your account information at any time from your account settings. You may request that we delete your account and associated personal data by emailing us — we'll process deletion requests within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain records (for example, billing history) for legal or accounting purposes.
Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable time, other than records we're required to keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
